COMMENTS
Due to the critical success of the four initial shows in May 2018, held in tiny venues in London's Camden and Putney, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets announced a full European tour for September last year. The expanded shows for the full tour were even more highly acclaimed, and it came as no surprise when further dates for 2019 were announced!
Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets brings together some familiar names, all great musicians: joining Nick are Gary Kemp and Lee Harris on guitars, Guy Pratt on bass, and Dom Beken on keyboards. Kemp is best known for his work with Spandau Ballet, Harris as having played guitar with The Blockheads (Ian Dury's band), Pratt needs no introduction, and Beken is principally known for his work with The Orb, and Transit Kings (with Pratt). The band will be playing early Pink Floyd songs.
This is a unique opportunity to experience Pink Floyd's celebrated and significant early body of work played live including songs from albums 'The Piper At The Gates of Dawn' and 'A Saucerful Of Secrets'.
This particular concert - at time of writing this, the concluding show of the 2019 summer tour - is part of the Summer Fog Festival, as you can see by the very attractive poster to the right. Click the thumbnail to see it in greater detail, and better colour.
UPDATE - July 12th: The concert was due to take place at the Korty Legii/Legia Tennis Stadium, but due to the heatwave being experienced in the country, and with the possibility of storms in the weather forecast, the decision was made to move the show to the Hala Torwar COS/Central Sports Centre Torwar, an indoor arena that holds 6,304 people. It is located adjacent to Legia Stadium - just some 500 metres or so from there - and is a covered, air conditioned venue thus making this nine-hour event (with support from various bands including Soft Machine) MUCH more comfortable for those attending, and takes away the risk of weather affecting proceedings. All tickets remain valid for the new location.
The regular sale of tickets started on FRIDAY, MARCH 15th at 12pm (lunchtime) local time, via Eventim.de.

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!
Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played!
Well, sadly, this show marked the final night of this current tour. Fifteen nights were performed over twenty five days. Quite a punishing schedule! However, the band seemed to relish it, performing their hearts out show after show, bringing so much pleasure to everyone attending. Let's hope it isn't too long until more shows are with us (as hinted at by band members and on the band's official social media) and of course, there's the live recording from London's Roundhouse in May this year which hopefully will make an appearance at some point, hopefully soon...
This show saw Nick share a bill again with Soft Machine, and also sport a (false) moustache during the show, to much amusement...
We'd love to know from those attending how they felt the concert went. How was the show for you, if you were one of the fortunate ones to attend? Let us know what YOU thought!
YOUR HELP NEEDED! We want to cover Nick's concerts the best we can, to share the experience with everyone, especially those who won't be able to attend the shows. We'd love to see ANY pictures, tickets scans, reviews, newspaper reports, and anything else you come across for this show - we look forward to hearing from you!
