Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 12

Issue 12: July 1987

A5, 32 pages

Concentrating on the two camps projects, which were gathering momentum. Included were the early Floyd dates, and a large review of Radio KAOS. There's also some nice live pictures from Stafford in 1977, and the second part of Vernon Fitch's US discography.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 13

Issue 13: September 1987

A5, 32 pages

The last of the A5 format magazine, and also the last of the matt (ie, non-shiny) covers. Predictably, plenty on the new PF album, AMLoR, and plenty on both camps tours (just about to start as BD went to press. There's also a large interview Brain Damage undertook with Joe Boyd. Finally, the Capital Radio Pink Floyd mega documentary gets the first part transcribed. (The subsequent five parts are in the following issues).

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 14

Issue 14: February 1988

A4 glossy colour cover (as are all future issues), 32 pages

First of the A4 format magazines, with a glossy cover. The increased page size enabled more information to be included. The main attraction of this issue was the exclusive interview with Pink Floyd, backstage in Chicago. Other articles covered the PF tour, and also the KAOS tour, all of which in depth.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 15

Issue 15: April 1988

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

Plenty of information relating to the PF 1988 tour, along with a detailed look at the previous years activities (including "home videos" shot at the various concerts). There's also the first news of the acetate of Lucy Leave and King Bee - with lyrics and pictures of the acetate labels! Also, an incredibly rare shot of the 1965 Floyd with Rado (Bob) Klose.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 16

Issue 16: July 1988

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

Plenty more on the 1988 shows, with lots of pictures. There's also a transcription, with original pictures, of the original concept of the film, The Wall. There's also some pages from the original script. Remember, the original concept featured the band heavily! Finally, there's a Richard Wright retrospective.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 17

Issue 17: October 1988

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

Plenty of general news especially in relation to new releases. There's a brief interview with saxophonist Scott Page, a transcription of the Wired TV programme interview, plenty of details of rare CDs to collect, and more on collectable videos.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 18

Issue 18: Early 1989

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

The issue kicks off with plenty of news relating to new and future releases, a number of concert reviews, an interview with Nick concerning the Delicate Sound Of Thunder album going into space, plenty of discographies, book reviews, and most interestingly of all, a reproduction of one of Syd/Roger Barrett's paintings from the mid seventies! It depicts a dinner table - cups, plates, cutlery...

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 19

Issue 19: May 1989

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

The big story in this issue is the 1989 European tour - and the positive move of playing in places that are not normally included on tours by big acts - Russia, Greece, and of course, Venice! There is a transcription of the full 1979 Roger Waters interview on Radio 1 concerning The Wall album, plus all the normal bits and pieces.

Brain Damage, International Pink Floyd Magazine, Issue 20

Issue 20: August 1989

A4 glossy colour cover, 32 pages

The main thrust of this issue was the 1989 Pink Floyd tour - plenty of pictures, news, reviews of concerts (and videos, and bootlegs!), and information on the rehearsals. There's also a reprint of a rare 1974 ZigZag magazine interview with the band, parts of which were used in Miles' Pink Floyd book.
