As most of you are aware, there are many Pink Floyd tribute bands and shows across the world, bringing good music (played with varying degrees of success!) to local pubs, clubs, halls and even major arenas. With the sheer number of them, it is impossible to provide coverage of these bands, but occasionally there are rare exceptions.
However, the Australian Pink Floyd show are old friends - they first performed in the UK back in 1993 at the debut Brain Damage fan convention - and they are just about to start another major tour of the UK. And thanks to the promoters, three lucky Brain Damage visitors will each get a pair of tickets to a show of their choice!
"On this tour we will play a 'Greatest Hits' type show rather than one complete album. It will give the fans a chance to see and hear many of their favourite Pink Floyd songs performed live" says singer and bass player Colin Wilson. "We will of course bring a huge light show with us again, so it's definitely a show not to miss!"
"In 2009 we performed the complete 'Wall' album for its 30th anniversary. In 2010 we will perform all the favourite Pink Floyd songs from across their whole catalogue. Anyone who has ever liked Pink Floyd will love this new show" adds singer and guitarist Damian Darlington.
To be in with a chance of one of the three pair of tickets to see the band at
the venue of your choice, you need to answer
the following question correctly:
- What was the venue for the Aussie Floyd's performance at the 1993 Brain Damage Fan Convention?
- True or false? The band performed at David Gilmour's birthday party.
If you struggle to find the answers elsewhere, you'll find them at www.AussieFloyd.com.
