As in most countries, politicians in the US often promise the impossible, and this week in a classic case of electoral hyperbole, presidential candidate John Kasich, of the Republican party, has "promised to reunite Pink Floyd" if he gets elected!
In an interview with news organisation CNN, Kasich stated that "If I'm president, I am going to once and for all try to reunite Pink Floyd to come together and play a couple songs. And since we have so much trouble in America with our finances, I'm going to start with a little song they created called 'Money.'"
He also said that his favourite concert of all time was Pink Floyd playing The Wall in Pittsburgh - we presume he either meant Roger Waters (whom he called "an incredible artist") in 2006, 2010 or 2012, or Pink Floyd playing the odd song from the album live back in 1988 or in 1994.
Whatever happens in the contest for the White House, this is going to be one electoral promise which is guaranteed not to happen! Our thanks to everyone who wrote in about this.
