Syd Barrett's Warriors mosaic, one of his earliest surviving authentic artworks, is up for auction on eBay by the person who bought it at the time of The City Wakes, the tribute to Barrett held in Cambridge, in 2008.

The auction, which ends next Saturday evening (November 22nd), is a very rare chance of owning a genuine piece of Barrett artwork. Dating from 1961-63, it is constructed from hand-cut glass on painted plaster, and has been specially framed. The starting price of the auction is not cheap, but this is one of just 48 pieces of his artwork known to exist, and as the eBay listing shows, was pricey in the first place and has been carefully framed and protected from the elements.
