For those who've always wanted to own a very special instrument, a new Charitybuzz auction gives you the opportunity (assuming your bank balance allows, that is!).
They are currently offering, amongst other things, a Roger Waters Fender Precision Bass guitar that has been signed and donated by Roger himself. It features a custom scratch plate with a brick design. The instrument has been donated to raise money and awareness of the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund. This provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability, or age-related problems. In other words, Healing Musicians in Need. We all have received so much out of music, it's time to give a little back! You can learn more at www.sweetrelief.org.
Bidding closes on Tuesday, February 18th 2014 at 3:12pm EST, and at time of writing this, is already up to $2,550. The standard Roger Waters edition of the Fender Precision Bass retails at $1,200 to give some context to the amount bid thus far, with the addition of the custom Wall scratchplate as well as Roger's autograph on it.
