February 7th saw the 24th annual Pollstar Awards. Held at Los Angeles' Club Nokia at LA Live, the awards, attended by the great and the good of the music industry saw Roger Waters scoop two of the major categories in the event.

With the awards nominated by industry leaders and voted upon by concert professionals, they are well respected and barometers of those who really deserve them. For 2012, the categories of Major Tour Of The Year AND Most Creative Stage Production were both won by Roger and his team, for the highly popular Wall Live tour.

Our congratulations to all those involved for this recognition.

UPDATE: for his acceptance of both of these awards, Roger and his team created a couple of little videos, which you can see below. Interestingly, all those who worked on the tour were given a special book, created specifically for them, covering the 2010-2012 dates. The book is chock-full of pictures, and looks wonderful. It would be great if a version of this could be released to the general public at some point; maybe when the tour wraps up for good in September this year?
