Just a reminder for you about an unique concert appearance by Roger Waters this coming Sunday - August 10th - at 6:30pm at the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival in New York, USA. Stravinsky’s “The Soldier's Tale” will be played with a roster of artists that includes none other than Roger Waters. In this piece, the second half of the concert, Roger will take the narrator’s part as well as that of the Devil and the Soldier.
Despite the venue being nice and intimate - just 360 seats - and the performance something we never expected to see from Roger, amazingly there are still tickets left for the performance. Tickets are $30-$40, and can be purchased by calling 631-537-6368.
For those who will be unable to make the journey to Bridgehampton, there is a glimmer of hope that there will be another chance to hear the performance. Each concert is recorded for later airing on American Public Radio's Performance Today. The show is carried on 250 radio stations around the USA and is heard by over 1 million listeners each week. Roger's performance will be recorded, but whether and when it makes it to air depends on a number of factors, most especially artist approval.
