On Monday, Croatia's Vecernji List newspaper had a nice, prominent interview with Roger Waters in the print edition of their publication (and available online for those with a subscription).
Our friend Bran tells us that "the article is highly politicized and I think the journalist might have misunderstood some things. Anyway, Roger is saying that he heard about our young protesters on the streets and the corrupt politicians
and that he is totally for protests agains the government. The headline is: 'Croatians must protest. Your ex-Prime Minister is in jail and the country is run by corrupt politicians'. He also stated that he wo'nt put pictures of our victims from the war on the wall, the usual 'I don't know what will happen with the Floyd story, if David calls for another reunion like Live 8 he'll be happy to join in...
"He mentioned that he has a lot of new material piled up and that he will release a new album when he'll find some concept that will link it all into something coherent. The rest of it is basically world wars, great differences between
the poor and the rich, talks about unneccesary interventions of US and UK in Iraq. Nothing spectacular really, but it's nice to see the great Rog speaking to Croatian journalists and seeing this in our newspapers."
Our thanks to Bran for his help in bringing this information to you.
Elsewhere, as Manuel Mariño Reino tells us, Roger's Wall tour was the subject of a nearly 15 minute piece on Spanish TV, which you can view on demand through this link. Naturally, it's full of spoilers for the show, so don't watch if you don't want to see what occurs prior to attending an upcoming show!
