Last week, we told you about the week-long celebration of Pink Floyd on the NBC television show "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" in the US. Monday's programme featured Nick Mason being interviewed, along with The Shins performing Breathe.
Last night's show, which aired a short while ago, has set our inbox alight! Roger Waters took to the stage with the Foo Fighters for an apparently storming rendition of "In The Flesh", but it was Roger's interview with Fallon that really thrilled our US friends...on air, he not only talked about the infamous Pat Boone show, but he also confirmed that he was taking The Wall back to North America next year. No dates or indication of cities to be visited, but good news for many, nonetheless!
The show airs each night for the rest of this week, at 12:35am (ET)/11:35pm (CT), and highlights are available to stream from the show's website following transmission. The rest of the week:
- Wednesday, September 28th: MGMT will perform the early Floyd track, "Lucifer Sam" from 1967's "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn".
- Thursday, September 29th: "Late Night" will go country when popular country performer Dierks Bentley takes on the Floyd classic, "Wish You Were Here".
- Friday, September 30th: Pearl Jam will conclude the week with their take on "Mother" from "The Wall".
