Now confirmed, following the teaser trailers at the end of last week (as well as the widespread rumours preceding those), is the Desert Trip festival. This takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California - the location that the annual Coachella event takes place - between October 7th - 9th, 2016.
The line-up is confirmed as follows:
- Friday, October 7th: The Rolling Stones; Bob Dylan and His Band
- Saturday, October 8th: Paul McCartney; Neil Young and Promise of the Real
- Sunday, October 9th: Roger Waters; The Who
The gates each day open at 2pm but as yet, no details of any additional bands/support artists, or timings. Before you ask, there's also no information yet on Roger's band OR intended material - we suspect the band will be the same/similar to The Wall shows, and the material will probably be a mix of old and new solo music, with some Floyd stuff added in here and there.
