Artists including Roger Waters, Robert Plant, Ellie Goulding, George Ezra, Michael Ball & Alfie Boe, and Stereophonics are among the winners of the 43rd O2 Silver Clef Awards.
Presenter Edith Bowman will host the event, which raises money for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, tomorrow (Friday, July 6th) at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, while coverage from the red carpet will be presented by Peter Andre.
Roger Waters and Robert Plant are being honoured for their contribution to music and will be presented with the Nordoff Robbins O2 Silver Clef Award and the Integro Outstanding Award respectively. Stereophonics pick up the American Express Icon Award, while Ellie Goulding is awarded the Liz Hobbs Best Female Award and George Ezra will take home the AEG Presents Best Male Award.
The hotel where the ceremony is taking place is situated on Park Lane, handily next to Hyde Park, where Roger will be performing in the evening. Many congratulations on the award, Roger!
UPDATE: Roger collected his award from Brian Eno, prior to headlining the British Summer Time show across the road in Hyde Park. "Checking the history books, Pink Floyd did the very first free concert in the park in 1969 so that's a great memory," said Roger. "Well done Nordoff Robbins for the great work that you do with the children who need the help of music as a healing force in their lives."
