Well, the moment is almost here - tomorrow sees the start of David Gilmour's 2015 Live tour, coinciding with the release of his new album Rattle That Lock which is due in one week's time, worldwide.
Whilst in effect the tour started with last Saturday's concert in Brighton, England, that was officially a Preview Show. The Pula Arena in the Croatian city of the same name is the setting for the first 'proper' concert of the tour. Over the last few days, the inside of the Arena has been getting itself ready for the arrival of fans from around the globe, all eager to experience what should be a superb show, based on the experience of those of us lucky enough to get a sneak preview at the Brighton Centre.
Currently the weather there is lovely, which is a relief as the concert is an outdoor one; the stage has been constructed within the ancient walls, and with the Arena a very open and public place, intrigued locals - and early-arriving concertgoers alike - have been able to watch construction of the stage and setting up of the seating areas. This picture kindly sent in by BD regular Branimir Kucar shows construction of the stage once it got to a fairly complete level, prior to the equipment and elements such as Mr Screen arriving in Pula.
If you are going to Pula - or indeed, any of the shows on the tour - we'd love to hear from you with your thoughts on the show. The address to email us is the normal one -
