Another date for your diary - UK based digital radio station Planet Rock (one of our favourites!) is airing a one-hour special on Pink Floyd's 1979 classic, The Wall. Broadcast on Monday, August 25th, at 7pm BST, "BUILDING THE WALL" promises interviews with band members, and also Gerald Scarfe, who created the iconic artwork for the album. In the special, Gerald discusses his designs for the album, stage show and film as well his time working with Pink Floyd.
Planet Rock have long been a Floyd-friendly listen, and indeed every Sunday evening at 7pm Guy Pratt broadcasts his two hour show, packed with plenty of good music alongside the chat. The station can be heard via DAB Digital Radio, Sky Channel 0110, Cable TV channel 924 and online at www.planetrock.com.
[NB - the special was initially billed as being two hours long, and is now scheduled as one hour long]
