Marking the release of the first stage of the Why Pink Floyd remaster and collector edition release, a cold, grey and damp scene faced those who made it to the iconic Battersea Power Station in the early hours of this morning.

With inflation of Algie's younger cousin completed in the pre-dawn darkness, the pig was aloft quickly, and greeting (and delighting) the people of the area as they awoke, had their breakfast, and went off to school or work. Unlike the original shoot in December 1976 for the Animals cover, which had the pig between the southern chimneys, today's flight (due to the condition of the building) was from the other end, and just in front. Securely tethered to a couple of 4x4 vehicles, the pig seemed content to have a good look around from its elevated vantage point.

The pig is expected to stay in the air by the northern end of the Power Station for most of the day, weather permitting, taking occasional shorts breaks. See below for pictures from the event, along with a couple of video clips:
