As we mentioned last week, Nick Mason was taking part in the 2010 Mille Miglia race in Italy on May 6th-9th, which goes from Brescia to Rome, and back again, a distance around 1,000 miles. Driving in a 1949 Le Mans Replica, which was built in 1971, Nick had his good lady wife, Annette, as co-driver. The event saw 375 cars participate in all sorts of weather - including rain, fog, and even snow when they reached the mountain roads of the Terminillo.
With thanks to Stefano Tarquini, we have a selection of six shots from the event, courtesy of the respective photographers, which you can see below.
The first of these were shot by Sara Guidoni-Vidoni, who lives in Spoleto. Mason stopped in front of her and Sara shot the pics here:
Further in the race, Nick and Annette arrived in Rome. Arber Ndoj, a big fan and performer in Floyd cover band "Interstellar Factory", took these pictures when Nick arrived in front of him:
Our thanks to Sara and Arber for allowing us to share these pictures with you.
