Further to our previous story of March 26th, the Rock Stars Cars & Guitars 2 exhibition at the Detroit area Henry Ford Museum is now open (and runs until September 7th, 2009).
The exhibition features more than 20 cars, more than 50 guitars and amongst the wide array of rock memorabilia are iconic costumes and concert props. One of the vehicles is Nick Mason's Lola Cosworth T297 racing car [click thumbnail to the right] which features a wonderful Wall-themed paint job. You'll also see his custom Ferrari-themed Fender Stratocaster and custom drum kit and cymbals.
Last Thursday (July 9th) Nick made an unadvertised personal appearance at the Museum, that saw a small but enthusiastic bunch of fans meet him. Subsequently, he undertook an interesting, 17 minute interview with local radio station WDET for their Detroit Today show. Listen to it through this link (forward to around the 55 minute point for the start). Our thanks to Eric Fischer for the info.
You can find full details of the exhibition at www.theHenryFord.org.
