Nick Cave and Roger Waters are amongst those who've written music for Marianne Faithfull's new album.

'Give My Love to London' will be released in September 2014 and features lyrics by Faithfull and music from a host of guest artists, also including Pat Leonard, Tom McRae and Steve Earle. Roger will not be performing on the album. To coincide with the release, Faithfull will start a year long world tour this autumn.

This is not Marianne's first cover of a Roger Waters-penned song. Her 1999 album Vagabond Ways included the track Incarceration of a Flower Child, which was written by Waters in 1968, and never recorded by Pink Floyd. The lyrics seem to relate to Syd Barrett, but Waters has never confirmed this.
