Jason Prufer has been hard at work uncovering a wealth of information about a show that Pink Floyd performed on their 1973 tour of The Dark Side of the Moon.
The concert was held at Kent State University's Memorial Gym (now known as the MAC Center), in Ohio, on March 10th, 1973 and like many shows on that tour, information other than a setlist has been virtually non-existent.
Now, thanks to Jason's hard work, his kentfloyd.blogspot.com site has a number of new, previously unpublished photos, alongside testimonials from inside the gym that night. It gives a fascinating look at a show from around the time their iconic album was just coming out, when no-one could have anticipated just how notable it became, and how it would continue to win over new listeners decades later.
Our thanks to Jason for getting in touch. Do visit his blog - alongside the recollections, there's some great pictures too!
