In December, the nominees for the 58th annual Grammy Awards were announced, and recent Roger Waters projects were recognised, with a pair of nominations being given - Roger's Amused to Death reissue was nominated for Best Surround Sound Album, and his recent concert film The Wall was nominated for Best Music Video/Film.
Last night, the 2016 Grammy Awards were held, and the winners announced, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Whilst The Wall was not selected for its category, the Amused to Death reissue proved a deserved winner, with James Guthrie and Joel Plante picking up the gramophone-shaped trophy.
Our congratulations to the pair for triumphing in the Best Surround Sound Album category. For those who are yet to hear the 5.1 mix of Amused to Death, our review can be read here.
