Bryan Ferry has this evening revealed via his newsletter that David Gilmour was at Hugh Padgham's studio in West London last week, adding his talents to Bryan's upcoming, and as yet untitled, solo album [see thumbnail, right].
In 1985 David famously played on Ferry's album 'Boys and Girls', the single 'Is Your Love Strong Enough' and later that year on stage at Live Aid in London. He is added to the impressive list of musicians who have played on the new record, which include Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist (and sometime Thom Yorke sideman) Flea. He is also enlisting the services of Chic's legendary Nile Rodgers.
The album is currently due for release in May 2010, and we will bring you more information as it becomes available...
