Having performed it at a few festivals last year, including an extended run at the Edinburgh Festival, Guy Pratt is bringing his highly acclaimed stand-up show, "Guy Pratt's Wake Up
Call", to Brighton audiences this month. He will be performing at the Komedia as part of the Brighton Festival's Fringe programme, on May 17th at 9pm.
Tickets for the show, at a very reasonable £12, are now on sale through the Komedia's website. Should be an fun evening, and worth attending if you can. After the success of his first two shows, My Bass and Other Animals and Breakfast of Idiots, Wake Up Call reveals part three of Guy's life on the road, as bassist to some of the world's best bands.
If you've yet to experience it, you can now not only get his hilarious book, "My Bass And Other Animals" in Kindle format, you can be lazy and hear Guy himself reading the whole thing. The unabridged audiobook is playable on your computer, on your
iPod or other MP3 player, and can even be burnt onto CD. It is now available to download from Audible UK. The book, which we highly recommend, is a no-holds barred, warts'n'all look at his career working with such luminaries as Madonna, Bryan Ferry, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, David Gilmour, and Pink Floyd, to name but a few.
