Following on from yesterday's news of the release of David Gilmour's upcoming album, Rattle That Lock, due on Friday, September 18th, 2015, pre-order links for the various physical versions of the album are now available.
To recap the options which were revealed yesterday, there are the following editions:
- CD: Hard cover bound book package with gold foil blocking on spine, 22-page photo/lyric booklet including album session photographs.
- VINYL LP IN GATEFOLD SLEEVE: Heavyweight vinyl, mastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante at das
boot. Comes in gatefold sleeve, with photo inner bags, download card, and a full sized 16-page photo/lyric booklet.
- DELUXE CD & DVD PACKAGE: Two-disc box set including CD, and a DVD with a bonus 10 audio-visual
items, 4 audio tracks, the album in 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS surround
sound, plus a stereo version in 48kHz/24 bit. The AV clips include four
"Barn Jam" clips including Richard Wright's last recorded/filmed
performance, as well as four documentaries and two promo films. There's
also a 32 page hardback lyric/photo book, a copy of Milton's Paradise
Lost Book 2, and memorabilia including a poster, postcard and plectrum (package shown to the right).
- DELUXE CD & BLU-RAY PACKAGE: Two-disc box set including CD, and a Blu-ray with a bonus 10
audio-visual items, 4 audio tracks, the album in 5.1 DTS Master Audio
surround sound and PCM, plus a stereo version in 96kHz/24 bit, the rest of the contents as above in the CD & DVD package (package shown to the right).
