The October 2008 issue of the UK's Uncut Magazine features an eleven page feast of Floyd! They look at the band's 30 "Greatest Songs" as voted for by David Gilmour, Nick Mason, and their friends, fellow musicians and famous fans, including the likes of Robert Wyatt, Peter Jenner, Phil Manzanera, Gerald Scarfe, and (somewhat unexpectedly) Ice Cube, who enthuses about ABITW2.
With a foreword by David, a long piece by him on the development of Shine On, and Nick talking about Set The Controls, it is an occasionally surprising look at what the various people involved choose to listen to from the extensive back catalogue. Sadly, they don't include Ron Geesin's amusing initial comments about what Floyd tracks he listens to, but then you can read those here in our recent interview with him!
The magazine is has just hit the shelves in the UK, and you can also find it in selected other countries as an import. More information at www.Uncut.co.uk.
