The October 2008 issue of the UK's Mojo Magazine is well worth picking up. Hitting UK stores today, and available in many countries worldwide as an import, it features an excellent interview with David Gilmour.
Conducted by Mark Blake, author of "Pigs Might Fly" (the paperback version of which is published on October 1st), the five page chat with David finds him in expansive and revealing mood, responding to Mark's well-pitched questions. It's one of the best interviews with David that we can remember reading, with him talking at length about the very early days, the "difficult middle years" where relationships within the band became somewhat strained, and what the future might bring from him as a solo artist, and his views on the future of Pink Floyd.
Elsewhere, there's a full page preview of the Syd Barrett tribute events (The City Wakes) being held in Cambridge next month, and fans of The Beatles and Queen will find much of interest too...
