David Gilmour has just announced his first ever tour to South America, playing Brazil, Argentina and Chile in support of Rattle That Lock, his new album which is released - worldwide - on September 18th. Tickets for the five concerts go on sale on Thursday, September 10th.
The confirmed dates are as follows:
- 12 December: Brazil – Sao Paulo – Allianz Parque On sale: 00:00hrs BRT through www.ingressorapido.com.br
- 14 December: Brazil – Curitiba – Pedreira Paulo Leminski On sale: 00:00hrs BRT though www.blueticket.com.br
- 16 December: Brazil – Porto Alegre – Arena do Gremio On sale: 00:00hrs BRT though www.blueticket.com.br
- 18 December: Argentina – Buenos Aires – Hipodromo de San Isidro On sale: 00:00hrs ART through www.fullticket.com
- 20 December:– Chile – Santiago – Estadio Nacional On Sale: 11:00hrs CLT through www.puntoticket.com
Also confirmed is the touring band accompanying David, who are as follows: Phil Manzanera – guitar, Guy Pratt – bass, Jon Carin – keyboards, Steve DiStanislao – drums, percussion, Kevin McAlea – keyboards, Theo Travis – saxes, clarinet (Brighton and Europe only), Joao Mello – saxes (Royal Albert Hall and South America only), Bryan Chambers - backing vocals, Louise Marshall – backing vocals (Europe/UK only), and Lucita Jules - backing vocals (South America only).
