In their latest listener poll, the UK digital radio station Planet Rock asked what the nations favourite solo albums were. As expected for this Pink Floyd-friendly station, both David Gilmour and Roger Waters figured healthily in the top 40 rundown.
In reverse order, David's eponymous 1978 album came in at #29, and his recent Gdansk release at #21. At #15, Roger's 1984 outing, The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, appeared, and his 1992 album, Amused To Death, managed to make it all the way to #3. However, heading the chart was David's 2006 release, On An Island.
Congratulations to David and Roger for their spread of entries! To see the poll in detail, visit www.PlanetRock.com. You can tune in to PR via DAB digital radio in the UK, Sky channel 0110, Virgin Media channel 924, Freesat channel 730 and online worldwide.
