Our congratulations to Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side Of The Moon, which this week (officially the "week of June 11th 2011") re-entered the Billboard Catalog Album chart at number 47, and reached the very special milestone of 1000 weeks on Billboard's charts.
The album has done consistently well on Billboard's charts over the years, reaching number one on more than one occasion. Looking at its chart position is like looking through the band's history and activity, with peaks and troughs at expected moments in time (a surge of interest during Roger's tour of the album between 2006-2008, for example).
Our thanks to Charles Whalley for keeping tabs on the albums position for us.
