Proof that you cannot keep a good album down, Pink Floyd's 1973 classic "The Dark Side Of the Moon" has earnt its highest rank on the Billboard 200 chart since 1980 as it has re-entered at No. 69, helped, no doubt, with Amazon.com offering the MP3 download of the album as a "deal of the day" at $1.99!
In other DSOTM news, BBC4 TV in the UK is airing a multipart scientific series named "The Beauty of Diagrams". On December 2nd the series looked at "Newton's Prism". In the programme, they compared Dark Side's iconic cover with Newton's Prism. As part of this, they undertook a short but interesting interview with Storm Thorgerson on the album cover.
The show will be repeated in due course, but you can see it now via the BBC iPlayer. Storm's interview starts at about 20 minutes and 50 seconds into the show, and goes on to around the 23 minutes, 30 seconds point.
Our thanks to Dr Najam Beg, and to David Haddock, for the Newton programme info.
