Pink Floyd - Brighton Dome, January 20th, 1972

Dark Side Of The Moon - A Photographic Exhibition is a special celebration, marking the 40th anniversary of Pink Floyd's first (and quite troubled) first attempted performance of their best-known album, which took place on January 20th 1972 at the Brighton Dome.

The exhibition runs from January 20th through to March 20th, at the Founders Room at the Dome, and is open between 10am - 5pm on Tuesday through to Sunday, each week. Admission is free. Photographer Jill Furmanovsky, a familiar name to many Floyd fans, spent considerable time on the road with the band including the debut DSOTM gig in Brighton. The exhibition will display a range of these, along with other rare and intimate images by Storm Thorgerson, Colin Prime and Tony Collins. Rock Archive limited edition prints will be available.

On the opening evening, there will be the rare opportunity of a Q&A with Jill Furmanovsky, again being hosted in the Founders Room in the Dome. This (free) event starts at 7pm, and having spoken to the Dome this morning (December 30th), ticketing information should be available in the new year.
