The BBC are currently working on a new television series, The People's History of Pop, which is planned to be aired hopefully next year. They've been in touch with us, and they are after your help:
"Calling all Dark Side of the Moon fans, we'd love to hear from you. What does the album mean to you? When did you first hear it? Did you see Pink Floyd live on the Dark Side of the Moon Tour?
"BBC Music is crowd-sourcing fans' memories and archives from over 50 years of British rock and pop music for a new series to be broadcast on BBC Four called The People's History of Pop. If you've been inspired by Pink Floyd and still have memorabilia in your attic, under your bed or in the recesses of your computer, please dig it out and go to www.phop.co.uk to take part. Thank you"
BBC music series tend to be well put-together and researched, and drawing in the thoughts and memorabilia of the fans is an interesting twist to an established format. So, if you have anything of interest, or wish to share your views on the album, please let the BBC know through their dedicated website...
