There's a special episode today of Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70s on the UK's BBC Radio 2.
"50 years of The Dark Side of the Moon" will see Walker marking the golden anniversary of this landmark Pink Floyd album, which is released in a deluxe box set in a few days time (on Friday, 24th March) with an accompanying official book within the box and sold separately (including our special and very limited edition book and print set exclusive).
In the almost two hour special, Walker will revisit his own archive interviews with the band, and there's a new chat with Pink Floyd expert and writer Mark Blake. As we've mentioned elsewhere on this site, Blake's fascinating and revelatory new book Us & Them charts the career of the Hipgnosis team, Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell, who created the iconic cover for the album and many other classic album artworks.
The show will be live on BBC Radio 2, which is available on a variety of platforms, from 3pm UK time today, and after broadcast, on demand (hopefully worldwide) at this direct link at BBC.co.uk. Our thanks to Rob Sadler for the tip-off about this programme airing today!
