Just a reminder for you, following our news item last Tuesday, that in the UK this evening (September 16th), digital TV station BBC 4 are having a Pink Floyd night. There are three shows advertised: The Pink Floyd Story (9:30pm), then one hour of Floyd clips from 1967 to the present day (10:30pm), and the final hour presents the band "Live At Pompeii" (11:30pm).
"A Pink Floyd Miscellany" is a compilation of rarely screened Pink Floyd videos and performances, beginning with the Arnold Layne promo from 1967 and culminating with the reunited band's performance at Live 8 in 2005. It also includes a newly-restored Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) and performances of Grantchester Meadows, Cymbeline and others.
If you miss tonight's airing, you'll have two further opportunities to catch the programme - Saturday (September 17th) at 1:30am, and Monday (September 19th) at 0:40am.
BBC 4 is broadcast from 7pm every
evening on Freesat channel 107, Freeview channel 9, Sky Digital channel
116, Tiscali channel 20 and Virgin Media channel 107, as well as
directly from the BBC Four website. Many BBC Four programmes are also
available after transmission on BBC iPlayer.
