Currently there are a few really cool downloads available, and they are official as well!
We are now hosting local versions of all these files (apart from the soundboard) as on too many
occasions, the external sites were unavailable. These items of software are provided free of charge, on an "as is" basis - we offer no warranty on how well they work, and all software is downloaded and installed at your own risk. We did not create any of this software. We cannot offer
support on these items, or be held responsible for any problems you might experience. As with any software install, you should back up any critical work beforehand.
David Gilmour In Concert DVD/Video - song player
Thanks to our friends at EMI, we are happy to host a standalone Quicktime player that is devoted to David Gilmour's In Concert DVD/Video. It is a small download but extremely good...it enables you to watch two full performances from the DVD/Video, together with a collection of clips from the DVD.
Essential!
Simply click here if you have a PC, or here if you have a Mac (download size for either version is around 79KB).
PULSE Screensaver
The oldest official screensaver available, this consists of various screens of pictures or
information relating to the PULSE album, and the tour that spawned it, in 1994. A nice one...
Simply click here if you have a PC (download size is 962K), or here if you have a Mac (download size is 1.29MB).
Is There Anybody Out There Screensaver
The least interesting official screensaver available, this consists of various screens of wireframe song titles moving around the screen relating to the Wall Live album, Is There Anybody Out There. You also get the slightly creepy lifemasks, used by the surrogate band during In The Flesh?, spinning in and out of the screen. One to add to the collection, but more for curiosity sake...
To download it, simply click here. It is only for PCs, sadly, not Macs, and the download size is 915K. There was no Mac version produced of this, to our knowledge.
Echoes Screensaver
This consists of a country scene, lighting appropriate to the time on your computer (in other words, if you are looking at it in the evening, it shows the countryside at night), with a pig gently floating over the scenery. Pastoral sounds also feature...
This is an absolute must have and is the most recent official screensaver currently available. Simply click here if you have a PC (download size is 554K), or here if you have a Mac (download size is 564KB). For those of you that wish to run this screensaver on Windows Vista, you will need to right click on the icon for the program after installing (find it in Windows/System) then go to 'properties' and select 'compatibility' and change screen resolution to run in 640 x 480... sounds a little odd, but it works perfectly fine. Our thanks to Kelvin Smith for this tip!
Pink Floyd Soundboard
This has to be used to be believed! A fun utility for messing around with different key soundbites in Pink Floyd history. See if you can identify all the songs used!
Simply click here if you have a PC, or here if you have a Mac . Download size of either version is 3.47MB - but is worth the wait even if you have a modem/slow connection.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As with any external link, we have no control over availability of the items above, nor can help out in case of any problems. The downloads are all offered "as is" and you download/install them at your own risk!
