First off, our best wishes go to Richard Wright, who is currently convalescing after a cataract operation. He was unable to attend the UK Music Hall Of Fame, due to the operation, but is obviously not letting it stop him get about, too much!

Near the end of last night's U2 show in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Bono thanked Pink Floyd for their Live 8 performance, and specifically said hello to Rick Wright, as he was in the audience! Hope you are making a speedy and full recovery, Richard!

In other news, amidst reports of Pink Floyd playing at various venues next year (all of which are currently completely unfounded), a news item in the December issue of French magazine Rock et Folk states that David Gilmour will be performing two shows in Paris, France, to tie in with the release of his new album, currently slated for March 2006.

The shows are stated as being at the Grand Rex, Paris, on 15th March, and the Olympia, Paris, on 16th March. Apparently, the director of the Grand Rex theatre has confirmed these dates as definite.

We would stress that NO dates have been confirmed by David's management as yet; if and when David decides to go on tour, and announces this, we will pass on all the appropriate information, with ticketing details and so on.

Our thanks to Jon VanderMeer and Marc-Olivier Becks for the information.
