Multi Grammy-winning
pianist/songwriter Bruce Hornsby's career to date is represented with
the four-disc, 53-track boxed set "Intersections," which is released
today (July 25th). A fifth disc comprises a 22-track DVD that rounds up
live performances and music videos. The great news for Roger Waters
fans is that his 1991 collaboration with Hornsby is included on CD4 and
the DVD!

Bruce Hornsby -Intersections |
On the CD, you get the pair
performing the medley of Fortunate Son coupled with Comfortably Numb,
and on the DVD, is the Seville, Spain performance of the self-same Pink
Floyd song, from the guitar festival held there in 1991. It is the
first time that any of Roger's set from that show has been commercially
released.
Other collaborations in the
collection include Hornsby playing with The Grateful Dead, Shawn
Colvin, members of the NY Philharmonic Orchestra, Ricky Skaggs, Ornette
Coleman, Bill Evans, Robbie Robertson, Branford Marsalis, Chaka Khan,
Bonnie Raitt, Pat Metheny, Gregory Hines, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt
Band - to name a few!
The packaging includes a full
colour booklet with track-by-track annotations (written by Bruce), rare
memorabilia and personal photos from Bruce's collection.
The set can be ordered, with a discount, through the following special links: Amazon US/International, Canada, UK/Europe, France, or Germany.
Any item bought through these links at Amazon (not just Floyd items)
helps with the running costs of the site, and we really appreciate it.
Our thanks to Jonathan Still and Bradley Kaplan for the info on this release.
