playbox_wall The Playbox Theatre in Warwick, in collaboration with the Oxjam Music Festival (which consists of a number of different events), will be staging a new production of Pink Floyd's The Wall in November. The production will be performed in partnership with the eight-piece Floyd tribute band Breathe, who will perform the soundtrack at each of the five shows.

Roger Waters' manager Mark Fenwick, and stage set designer Mark Fisher, have both assisted with this new production, which will benefit Oxfam in their fight to end poverty - Oxjam being the charity's most ambitious music event ever.

The director and conceptualist of the show, Stewart McGill, said: "I have for a few years harboured a passion to stage this work. Having immersed myself in The White Album (2006) it seemed natural to follow this by re-imagining what many regard as the ultimate concept album. I want to create a Wall experience rather than a story, taking our audience on an emotional and immersive journey into the world created by Waters with Pink Floyd."

The Wall's young cast will blend movement, acting, choreography, urban and freestyle dance, in a re-designed main space at the venue with surround sound and a staging to bring the audience into the heart of the action.

Performance Schedule:
- November 15th, 7.30pm
- November 16th, 7.30pm (Gala Premiere)
- November 17th, 7.30pm
- November 23rd, 7.30pm
- November 24th, 7.30pm

You can book tickets by phone on 01926 419555, or in person at the box office. More details can be found at www.playboxtheatre.com, and for Oxjam or Oxfam information, check out www.oxfam.org.uk.
