stormbackIt's all happening at the moment for our friends in Australia. There's not just Guy Pratt's appearances in the country at the end of this month, and the start of next, but there's also the staging of Storm Thorgerson's wonderful exhibition, Taken By Storm, in Sydney!

Fresh from holding the exhibition in Cambridge as part of the City Wakes Syd Barrett tribute, Storm  is keeping himself very busy in the run-up to the end of 2008, what with his new book, "For The Love Of Vinyl", his limited Genesis Publications box set, and with his jaunt to Sydney, Australia!

Taken By Storm takes place at Sydney's Global Gallery in the Paddington district. This touring retrospective of over 50 examples of his work, takes in many of his Floyd images, along with other work for artists such as Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Paul McCartney and The Cranberries. Running from December 4th - 23rd, and January 5th - 13th, the exhibition is free to attend, and well worth the trip. All the prints on display are available to buy, as well. There's a special "meet the artist" afternoon on Saturday, December 6th from 2pm, when you can meet Storm himself. And that's something you won't want to miss!
