The première of Storm Thorgerson's US exhibition of "Mind Over Matter: The Images Of Pink Floyd" took place on Saturday October 13th in Los Angeles, at the Mr. Musichead gallery on the legendary Sunset Boulevard.
We first told you about the event back on June 27th, including the chance to win a one-off airbrushed car or Les Paul guitar. Brain Damage was of course on hand to check out the event, chat to Storm himself, and bring you pictures and information about what to expect...
Visitors got a chance to see prints of some of his most celebrated work on display and to purchase copies of his new book "Taken By Storm", along with the re-print of "Mind Over Matter" which is not available in retail outlets as of yet, but visitors had the chance to purchase advance copies on Saturday night!
Spectators were clearly in awe of the large scale reproductions and photo reprints, amongst them famed photographer Ross Halfin. "Taken By Storm" is a collection of all his various works with different artists, while the exhibition is centered around his work with Pink Floyd and the book "Mind Over Matter" which always seems to be the main draw!
Throughout the night Storm greeted visitors and kindly signed their books. The exhibition runs through November 10th, so if you're in Los Angeles, be sure to take advantage of this rare opportunity and witness the iconic imagery of Storm Thorgerson.

The following pictures give an impression of just a handful of the many beautiful Pink Floyd prints on display in the gallery. In the flesh (no pun intended) the art really comes alive, and offers much more detail than can be afforded in the slightly limited realm of the CD cover.
