Planet Rock radio has joined forces with the rock establishment, Marshall, Pure and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy for a major charity auction of exclusive Marshall edition DAB radios, all signed by rock royalty.

They have had around 70 of the specially souped-up models - which emulate the look of Marshall guitar amps, and even feature a volume control which goes up to 11 in true Spinal Tap style - that are being sold off in an online auction during the month of October.

Amongst the signatures are Pink Floyd's Richard Wright and Nick Mason, Guy Pratt, and Phil Manzanera...

The PURE Marshall EVOKE-1XT DAB digital radio has a recommended selling price of £99.99, so signed by some of the legends that Planet Rock have involved, they could be priceless. Each radio comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and all the proceeds go to Nordoff-Robbins. DAB digital radio is the new standard for radio in the UK, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Belgium and other parts of Europe. However DAB digital radios do not work in the USA or Japan. You’ll still be purchasing a piece of rock history, but you won’t be able to enjoy the excellent audio.
