Following his two lectures in early February at two prominent Illinois universities, titled "Large-Scale Structure in the music of Pink Floyd: 'Dogs' and 'Shine On'" and "Large-Scale Structure in the music of Pink Floyd: 'Dogs'", Pink Floyd academic Gilad Cohen will be featured in a one-hour talk titled "The Shadow of Yesterday's Triumph: Shine On You Crazy Diamond and the Stage Theory of Grief".

The lecture will take place this Sunday, March 8th at 11AM at the Society of Composers, Inc. Region 6 Conference at Henderson State University, Room 134, Russell Fine Arts Building (northwest corner of campus), Arkadelphia, Arkansas and will consist of an expansive analysis of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".

The conference will also feature the world premiere of Cohen's new piece for violin and piano "Parsley's Hammer", commissioned by ASCAP and the Society of Composers Inc. That performance will take place Saturday, March 7th, 2015 at 8PM, (also at the Society of Composers, Inc.
