Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 25th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, has now been released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates were announced, and these have now begun, thrilling crowds in Brighton, England and Rome, Italy - see all the confirmed David Gilmour concert dates here. We're also eager for your views on each of the shows, and really welcome comments, reviews, pictures or anything else you'd be willing to share with the Floyd community - [email protected] is the address to use - thank you!

Sadly, the European dates for the Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour have come to their end. The gigs revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue. Don't forget that there's the live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Finally, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

HOW TO HELP THE SITE: If you want to contribute anything - such as concert reviews, articles or pictures - we'd love to hear from you; please email us.

Roger Waters, The Who etc add second weekend - tickets sold out already Print E-mail

Desert Trip concert - October 2016Due to exceptional demand, for what is looking like an exception concert, a second weekend has been added for the Desert Trip festival being held in October at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California (the site of the annual Coachella Festival). The Desert Trip event features a stellar line-up over three days:

  • Friday: The Rolling Stones - Bob Dylan and his Band
  • Saturday: Paul McCartney - Neil Young and Promise of the Real
  • Sunday: Roger Waters - The Who

Tickets went on sale yesterday (Monday, May 9th) for the initially announced weekend of October 7th, 8th and 9th, 2016, but due to exceptional demand - with all types of tickets, from general admission, standing at the rear of the venue, through to various VIP/grandstand tickets/pit tickets, sold out - the following weekend, October 14th, 15th and 16th, 2016, has been added, with the same performers appearing on the same days of the week.

Unfortunately, for any of you keen to make these new dates, those also have sold out pretty much instantly. There are a number of tickets to be found on secondary ticketing markets which is a real shame, as clearly these have been bought up by scalpers/touts purely to make a profit, rather than allow the fans to get tickets for the advertised prices.

We hope that there will be filming of these shows to make them available at some point for all of us who will be missing out on a great event, but as yet, have no information on anything like this happening. Should this change, we will let you all know via these pages (we've already had a number of people ask if there will be a DVD/Blu-ray release, or a TV broadcast).
