Two things relating to the Roger Waters The Wall Blu-ray, DVD, CD and vinyl releases for you today. First, there are now some more details and clarification regarding the recently announced Super Deluxe Edition. We've had a lot of questions about various aspects of this set, and this update should answer some of the questions we are getting on a daily basis.
The set, which is exclusively available from the Roger Waters Online Store at the price of $500, plus tax, shipping and for many (as it is shipping from the USA) import tax and duties, is a limited edition of just 3000. Each one will be signed by Roger himself (but none of his bandmates will be signing it).
The "hand applied graphics" which were mentioned when the set was announced is basically this: the boxes will be set up in a Los Angeles warehouse like a massive wall, and Brazilian graffiti artist team Osgemeos will paint a mural on this wall of boxes. Each box then will have a piece of this mural. The picture here shows Osgemeos's artwork on one of Roger's pigs.
COMPETITION: WIN THE FILM ON BLU-RAY: We also have a nice little competition to run today - we have two copies of the film on Blu-ray to give away to lucky BD visitors! To enter, all you need to do is answer this question correctly:
- Which concert on The Wall tour featured the longest wall?
