We've had an update from Roger Waters' manager on the exclusive benefit show that Roger is taking part in on Thursday (September 20th).
He is amongst the performers taking part in the VH1 Save The Music Foundation's 10th anniversary
gala, and indeed is closing the event with Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2). He will be joined on stage by Dave Kilminster, a children’s orchestra and choir made up of children, and gospel singers.
STORY UPDATED: View some of the rehearsals for the show, and the performance itself!
The event will take place at the The Tent at The Lincoln Center in New York City, and other
performers taking part will include Jon Bon Jovi and John Mayer. All tickets are now sold out.
Honorees at the September 20th event will include former President Bill Clinton, and his wife, Senator Hillary Clinton, alongside Mariah Carey, the organization's founder John Sykes, and NAMM, the International Music Products Association. The gala will recognise the contribution that these people have made to the Foundation, helping change children's lives for the better.
The VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental
music education in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as a part of each child's complete education. Since 1997, the Foundation has provided more than $34million of new musical instruments to over 1400 schools in 80 communities, affecting the lives of more than 800,000 public school children.

Rehearsals
To view an ABC television news report from the rehearsals of the event, showing Roger putting the large orchestra through its paces, with guitarist Dave Kilminster playing along, click here. Roger also talks a little about the children involved, and how well they've done.
Dave Kilminster
Whilst he is in New York for the event, Dave Kilminster will be appearing at Manny's
Music Store, a bastion for professional musicians for a meet and greet on Tuesday September 25th, 5.30pm til 7pm. This is thoroughly informal and people who come to the store can just come in and chat with Dave about anything and everything... his new album, Scarlet, what it is like to work with people like John Wetton, Carl Palmer, Keith Emerson, Roger Waters... in fact, about anything and everything!
Manny's Music can be found at 156 West 48th Street (between 6th & 7th Ave).
