Further to our recent news stories about NBC's "Tsunami Aid: A Concert of Hope", which featured a moving performance by former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters, alongside Eric Clapton, we have an update on the possible download of Roger's performance, along with the other performers from the night.
Our friends in the US currently have the ability to download performances from the show, from Sony's
CONNECT.com, with the proceeds going to the appeal. Outside the US, CONNECT offers different content, and currently doesn't have any of the performances available.
We have raised this with Sony, who have told us that they are very keen to offer the show as soon as
possible. They are currently trying to overcome all the licensing hurdles as the rights were originally granted for US usage only. They have promised to keep us posted on progress, and we will let you know when the performances are available outside the US.
With regard to the DVD of the show, mooted for this month, it seems that there have been a few legal
issues (again, relating to the licensing) that are being ironed out before the release date can be
released. Once these are sorted, we will let you know the release date and how to order it.
