Roger Waters interview on NYC radio tomorrow Print E-mail

A bit of advance notice for our friends over in New York, USA - yesterday on Q104.3 radio, after playing one of Roger Waters newly-released songs, the disc jockey mentioned that "if all goes as planned, Roger will be in the studio on Wednesday (September 8th)" for an interview.

The radio station, which refers to itself as New York's "only classic rock station", sadly doesn't webcast its shows, but selected interviews and performances are made available to listen to online after the event. It is hoped that Roger's interview (if indeed it happens) will be included amongst these recordings.

Our thanks to informaniac over at the RWO message board for this info. Our US correspondent Elliot Tayman will hopefully be able to catch the interview, and will report back on its contents.

UPDATE - September 7th: It was confirmed this evening that the interview will air from 2pm EST tomorrow (Wednesday). Roger is expected to talk about his two newly released tracks ("Leaving Beirut" and "To Kill The Child"), and hoped that he will be asked about other projects, which include the opera, Ca Ira, and The Wall On Broadway. We will be getting a recording of the interview shortly and will let you all know the contents soon!
