Preparations for tonight's stunning light show in Malta, courtesy of Gert Hof, and accompanied by the premiere of selections from former Pink Floyd front man Roger Waters forthcoming opera, Ca Ira, have gone well.
Rehearsals for the light show on Fort St Angelo's bastions went ahead last night, and successfully gave a flavour of what an estimated worldwide television audience of 1 billion have got to look forward to. Thankfully, the weather has turned out to be better than originally feared!
More pictures from the rehearsals can be seen on the www.di-ve.com website. Within the last week, a large number of television stations have signed up for the live feed, and certainly the majority of European countries will now be able to view the festivities. As yet, however, it appears no US broadcasters have decided to take the feed. Roger Waters fans in countries such as the US should keep an eye on the major news channels (CNN, BBC World, etc.) who may carry an edited version of the finale.
A report on the event, and in particular, the selections from Ca Ira that are aired, will follow this weekend. Our thanks to those who have contacted Brain Damage from various countries, including Malta
itself, with offers of help.
