Last Saturday (March 8th) saw Gustavo Cerati [left], leader of Soda Stereo, the biggest band in Latin America, record a new track with Roger Waters in New York City.
The song - recorded in Phillip Glass's Looking Glass studio - was recorded for the Fundación Alas (a foundation to help improve health and education for children in Latin America), and the collaboration was engineered by Colombian singer Shakira. As yet nothing has been
announced as to how the track will be used but of course, once we know this, we will let you know. UPDATE: despite earlier reports, the song title hasn't been confirmed yet.
Our thanks to Juan Cricco and Guillermo Porras for the info.
