Last month we brought you news of a webcasted interview with Roger Waters on MSN, that was postponed at the last minute. This has now been rescheduled, and we have news of this, along with clarification on an interview with Roger that his official site states is broadcast this evening.
Firstly, the webcast. This will be on chat.msn.com this coming Monday October 17th at 7pm US Eastern time. For those who can access this, you will be able to pose Roger questions about his opera Ça Ira, the Live 8 reunion, politics, or anything else that takes your fancy.
However, be aware that certain countries (the UK included) simply give you a page advising that the chat function has been closed down! They say "to help protect MSN users from unsolicited information such as spam and to better protect children from inappropriate communication online." We will endeavour to get a transcript of the interview for all those who find access to the site is blocked.
The official Waters site also gives news of an interview with Roger on the "World Cafe". They state that the interview will air in the US "this Tuesday, October 14th". This interview is actually airing on FRIDAY, October 14th! You can hear it worldwide via an internet stream on Worldcafe.org, in NYC on WFUV (90.7 FM), that night at 10pm. WFUV is a member-supported public radio station, from Fordham University in New York City. You can also listen online at xpn.org. Please check with the stations themselves in case these details change.
