With many of us absorbed by the Olympics over the last couple of weeks or so, we thought it would be worthwhile reminding you of what's coming up in the next couple of days!
First, UK based digital radio station Planet Rock is airing "Building The Wall", a one-hour special on Pink Floyd's 1979 classic, The Wall. Broadcast tomorrow (Monday, August 25th), at 7pm BST, it promises interviews with band members, and also Gerald Scarfe, discussing his artwork for the album, stage show and film as well his time working with Pink Floyd.
The station can be heard via DAB Digital Radio, Sky Channel 0110, Cable TV channel 924 and online at www.planetrock.com, and if you forget to tune in tomorrow, you can catch the show again on Saturday, August 30th at 6pm. UPDATE: Listen on demand for the next seven days through this link!
On Tuesday (August 26th), Pink Floyd are formally awarded with the 2008 Polar Music Prize by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Concert Hall in Stockholm. More info about the award, and why Pink Floyd won it, can be seen in our news story of May 21st.
